Departure 01-24-2026

Hello! This initial post is coming from Gate 6 in Terminal 7 in JFK. This place has everything; pre-paid SIM cards, vending machines with exclusively ginger ale, and a whole bunch of people with Feuditis, which is that illness where the only cure is watching Family Feud on your phone as loud as possible.

This photograph comes from the TWA hotel on JFK's campus. Built in 1962, it was a terminal until doors shut in 2001. In 2016 the building was turned into a hotel. A cool one with one of those old airport flight boards that goes shkhshkhshkshkh.

It was sad to leave home as I am a big fan of my family, however I am pumped. Although trying to not be too pumped as I have 13 hours of sitting down coming up. Hopefully the people next to me are kind and small. I will make a new post when I arrive in Japan, and many more after that. I am very excited to share this incredible experience and will continue to make improvements and changes to the site. Thank you for reading.
